The Brain DeCoded is an innovative cross-curricular educational toolkit designed to introduce high school students to both Python programming and the fascinating intricacies of the human brain. Through engaging, hands-on missions, students will explore how biological processes connect with coding principles, deepening their understanding of neuroscience while developing computational thinking skills.
This mission-based curriculum blends interactive coding, scientific exploration, and hands-on activities, using the CodeX device and peripherals (NeoPixel Ring, potentiometer, and 180 servo). Students write programs to simulate brain activity, engage in physical and discussion-based activities, and build mental models of neural functions—no prior programming experience required, though it is helpful!
