CodeSpace Progression Unlocker
The Firia Labs Teacher Dashboard introduces two powerful features for classroom management: Progress Unlocker and Progression Gates. These tools provide flexibility for differentiated instruction while fostering a structured, step-by-step learning experience.
- Progress Unlocker lets you manually unlock specific Missions that students haven't yet accessed, making it easy to catch up students who are behind or have been absent.
- Progression Gates let you lock specific Missions, preventing students from advancing until you grant access — ensuring students master concepts before moving on.
Unlocking Missions (Progress Unlocker)
Unlock for the Entire Class
Go to the Teacher Dashboard and log in to view your current classes.
Click on the class you want to select.
On the right side of the screen, the Edit Class menu will open. Click "Open Lesson Access Controller."
In the Lesson Access Control Options box, make sure "Progress Unlocker" is highlighted.
Select the Missions you want to unlock for the class and click "Apply Changes to Class."
Unlock for Specific Students
From your class view, click on the student you want to select.
On the right side, click "Open Student in Lesson Access Manager."
Make sure "Progress Unlocker" is highlighted, select the Missions to unlock, and click "Apply Changes to Student" or "Apply to Multiple Students."
Locking Missions (Progression Gates)
Lock for the Entire Class
Click on the class you want to select, then click "Open Lesson Access Controller."
In the Lesson Access Control Options box, make sure "Progression Gates" is highlighted.
Select the Missions you want to lock for the class and click "Apply Changes to Class."
Lock for Specific Students
From your class view, click on the student, then click "Open Student in Lesson Access Manager."
Make sure "Progression Gates" is highlighted.
Select the Missions to lock and click "Apply Changes to Student" or "Apply to Multiple Students."
